Deborah McAllister paints in a loose, impressionistic style of realism. She enjoys portraying the feeling of light and time of day in a scene. Colors are emphasized, and sometimes exaggerated. Reality is a never ending source of fascination for her, and all of nature is her studio.

She has won many awards including recently winning First Place in "Fresh Paint in Old Tucson".
